Gas furnace Pilot Light???

I have an old Sears gas furnace (wall unit) model 867. I cannot figure out how to relight the pilot light. Please advise.

Hello: C.Deters. Welcome to the Do It Yourself Web Site.

Look on top of the gas control valve. May be or likely to be a round knob with the wordings OFF PILOT ON on the top of the knob. If so, rotate knob to PILOT position and press down on the knob.

Light pilot and continue to hold button depressed for about 50-60 seconds. After 60 seconds or one minute, allow button to riase back up. Be sure any thermostat used for the wall heater is turn off or to the lowest temp setting. Than rotate knob to ON. Turn on and or up thermostat temp and burner(s) sould fire up.

Be advise not all wall heaters are the same, have the same lighting methods, control valve with knobs and or thermostats on the wall, etc. Basic instructions provided above based upon very limited specific and detailed information you provided here.
