2 zone heating/ac

Is is possible to add 2 zone heating/ac to one furnace and condensor?

You can but by the time you spend the money on the controls and work you could probably add 2nd unit and have better control than zoning.

With MATT 2 units . How big is the home Large???? Can you get to it all to put all the new duct work in for 2 zones. If its 2 story now try 24/7 on the blower.

the house is not very large, but I'm planning to put on a 1000 square foot addition - I'm blowing out the roof and adding to the back of the house

my other thought is to just add electric baseboard heat to the new rooms

I think Id go 2 units.
But go to http://www.warmair.net to compare fuel cost for where you live.
