3 amp fuse blows gradually

I have a 3 year old Bryant furnace. All the wiring seems to check out with the volt ohm meter, but the fuse seems to gradually burn (most of the time it takes 12-16 hours of use before it blows. I am running a test with my old tstat and a few feet of new wiring run directly to the board to see if it is the wiring. Any further suggestions?

Yeah, that'a bout the next thing I would of done...

If it holds, then something is shorting out in the wire, or it's the t-stat that is used? or you testing with the same stat?

Jay,
Thanks for reply. It was a different tstat and it worked for 24 hrs, so yesterday I replaced the wire from the regular new tstat to the furnace and it has gone for almost 24 hrs with no fuse blown. Thanks again.

Wink

You said old tstat then new tstat . You sure its not just in the tstat there??? And not in the wire. Check any staples in the tstat wire. Some time thats it. just back them off a little.
