Furnace wont light

I have an International Comfort Products Corporation furnance. It is about 6 years old. I have to clean the flame sensor almost daily. The ignitor will light, the pilot will light. the pilot will hit the flame sensor but the burners will not light. I then clean the flame sensor and everything works for a while. Do I need a new flame sensor? How is it continuely getting dirty? When the burners do light the flame sensor gets hit by the flame of the burnesr, is this causing the sensor to get dirty? This is probably not recommended, however if I remove the cover of the fire box the flame sensor works and the burners will light. Please help
