Whistling noise when furnace is running

Whenever my oil burner kicks in I am hearing a whistling noise from the somewhere on the oil tanks. I did check outside and it is not coming from the vent. I did run out of oil this pat weekend and assume that has something to do with it.

Whistling noise

I doubt seriously the noise has anything to do with your running out of oil. If there are two lines (usually copper tubing) from the tank to the burner, the noise, I suspect is pump noise being transmitted thru the lines & being amplified where the lines touch each other, floor joists, the furnace cabinet, etc.
