Pilot light would not stay on
Hi Guys,
I have a 13 year old slant/Fin model SX-150-DP natural gas boiler with standing pilot that was left on during the summer, all power was off, I try to start the boiler yesterday but the pilot light would'nt stay on,I notice the thermocouple is white where the flame hit it,can it be the thermocouple or is it something else?
Thanks for any help

Pilot
If the pilot was left on during the summer & only goes out when the main burners try to ignite, I doubt the thermocouple is the problem. What the heck,
thermocouples are cheap & easy to replace. Give it a shot, but I think you will find the problem to be in the pilot burner. If you can get it out, try to clean the orifice & burner assembly.
