ignition lockout

hello i have a carrier furnace model # 58RAV downflow its about 10 years old. When i wake up in the morning the house is all cold and the furnace will not come on the code was 14 ignition lockout. so if i flip the switch on the side the furnace fires right up and works all day no problems. What should i do? any help will be appreciated.

have you had it serviced and cleaned since day 1?

I'd suggest to get some one in to clean it.. I want ot say it's the flame sensor.

well last year when i bought the house I had a service tech. come out becuase it was not working and he replaced a switch he said that the switch went out because the filter needed to be changed. but i don't think he cleaned any thing. what needs to be cleaned? and what is the flame sensor?

A flame sensor is a metal road that has a single wire to it.. The sensor is surounded by flame in the burner area. use the green scoure pad to clean nit.. Do not use sand paper

Glenwood gas heater not working

I have a glenwood gas stove with room heater as part of the appliance. the stove top and oven work great. The heater does not. It is Glenwood model GBK39FA. I can lite the pilot , then turn on the gas valve to the heater burner which then ignites and all seems fine . It will then run for 2 minutes and then a click sound is heard, like a solinoid closing. Then the burner and pilot lite both go out. The gas supply has now been shut off . I can immediatly relight the pilot,then the heater burner. It will run fine again for 2 minutes, then the click sound and the flames go out again on both burner and pilot. I can repeat this over and over never getting the heater to stay running.ANY HELP WITH THIS PROBLEM TO GET HEAT FOR THE HOLIDAYS WOULD BE APPRECIATED . THANKS

gas wall heater blower on burner off

Hi I have a gas wall heater that makes a noise like the fan is catching on something when it goes on and off. The fan will keep blowing when the burner goes out. This blows cold air making the room temp go down. This causes the whole thing to start over faster than it should. It blows hot untill the burner goes out then cold for about 5-10 minuets it seems like. Thanks Elaine
