RUUD heat exchanger

RUUD heat exchanger
9 year old RUUD -UGTA Achiever 90 plus, Horizontal, Propane, 6 burners.
A couple burner flames don't enter tubes properly. Checked nozzles on manifold, OK. Switched with good burners and same problem. I suspect there is suppose to be a suction at opposite end of exchanger tubes and maybe tubes are clogged. If so how can I clean the exchanger?

If it is a nine year old RUUD you probably have a cracked heat exchanger that needs to be replaced.
To check turn the heat off, and the fan on and hold a lighter up to the opening that the flame shoots into and see if it gets blown out.
Also listen for air coming into the exchanger, usually you can hear it.

checked heat exchanger tubes as advised, OK. Cleaned exchanger tubes and eliminated previous problem with the flame. Still tripping overlimit sw. mounted on burner manifold. replaces limit sws still tripping. Seems to be a air/flow problem, but can't determine where the problem is. Has a air cond. coil mounted after the heat exchanger, but the coils are clean. We don't get the register flow as when the unit was new. All filter are clean. what in between the blower and heat exchanger, possibly a blockage?

Between the blower and the heat exchanger is the recoup coil. Its basically a radiator much like your A/C coil but flat.It will catch the first dirt brought into the furnace. Also, make sure all return air grilles are not obstructed. You can try taking off the blower door, holding in the switch and running through a cycle. If it doesnt high limit, chances are the blockage is in the return air duct. With the door off, it will get plenty of air.
