Draining oil-hot water baseboard heating system

Can someone give me guidance on how to drain my heating system. I'm tired of calling the oil company to drain the system...its costly and they do a half-a** job. My problem is that on the second floor of my home some rooms get really hot and others are cold (especially the bathrooms). I know I have an air block, but I don't know how to drain the system. Does anyone have resources on the basics of draining a heating system? Again, I live in a 60 year old 2 story home (Philadelphia, PA suburbs) with oil baseboard hot water heating system. Thanks.

If you have air in the system, why do you want to drain the system?
If you just want to get the air out, don't be adding more air.
Why is the system getting air in it? Is it a frequent problem? What is the pressure in the system (usually read on a guage by the boiler)?
There are a number of possiblities for why air is getting into the system.
There are a couple of different ways to get the air out, depending upon how the loops are plumbed. ARe they a single loop, series or parallel loop?
