Gas Combi Boiler keeps cutting out.

Gas Combi Boiler keeps cutting out.

It's a newly installed gas combi boiler.

after about 5 minutes or so of heating, the boiler shuts down and the overheat warning light comes on.
also..
after you get some hot water out, the same warning light will come on and the boiler will need re-setting so you can get some more hot water. This happens whether it produces hot water for 10 minutes or 10 seconds.

any suggestions what could be causing these symtoms?

If this a new install, call the installing dealer back.. Don't mess around or you will void the warranity.

My furnace is intermittently going on/off for about a minute between the "usual" furnace operation. why is this happening and what can be done? Also the pilot light is always on and seems to be using alot of gas to keep it running. is a pilot just to be lit or burning enough to hear it from the basement door to the 2nd floor? is there any way to adjust the amount of gas used to keep the pilot on? I have been shelling out alot of money to heat my 1100 sqare foot home and seems to be using more gas than average, could this be one of the reasons? Also my return vents are not drawing from the 1st floor rooms, I have water lines running through the return ducts and a good gap between the furnace and the return duct where the filter is. so much air seems to be drawing from the unheated basement that the basement door snugs shut when the furnace starts. Also the air that comes from the supply takes a few minutes to be warm when the furnace starts. Any tips on cleaning a forced air furnace to help efficiency and hopefully reduce gas use? We wear 2 layers and the thermostat is set at 65 and our bill is $265. i need some guidance.Read More
