Goodman gas furnace ignitor replaced still no heat

I have a Goodman natural gas furnace (1993 model # GMPN0B0-4) and I just replaced the faulty ignitor and now the gas valve will not open. Before I replaced the ignitor you could hear the gas come out for a few seconds and then shut back down on safety. Now since I replaced the ignitor the inducer fan comes on, a few seconds later the ignitor glows and then it goes off.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why the gas valve will not open or is there another problem I don't know about.
Any ideas would be helpful. Thanks,... Mike

No gas

This may sound crazy but are you sure the gas valve is turned to the "on" position & the gas shut off valve is open? No wires knocked loose while changing the ignitor?
