Wall mounted gas heater

I have a friend who is renovating hios place and said I could have his wall mounted natural gas heater (it's 4 years old). I'd like to put it in an outbuilding we used for crafts and so on. My question is if a wall mounted heater, about 24" wide that hangs from the joists can be raised on blocks 6" or so off the floor and used in that way. Our craft building has finished walls, ceiling, etc. and something on the wall or ceiling isn't appropriate. We already have an older non-thermostat floor model gas heater we hope to replace it with.

A more general question: hooking up one oif these doesn't seem all that complicated. An electric source for the fan, a thermostat, the gas connection and a flue. Is there something more complicated to all this than meets the eye? Thanks

Wink

Should work. But just how will you hold it up when not in the wall studs. Yes gas line ,110V power and a Gas B vent pipe up and out the roof.

You have the vent kit for this? I take it this vents out the back of the unit and out the wall?

What is the make and model of the unit. we maybe can try find the install manual to check on what needs to be done for the install.
