Carrier Weathermaker 9200

Hi - My Carrier Weathermaker 9200 quit on me. The thermostat went dark (no power). Upon opening the case, the red LED was dark. I checked and confirmed the 110v AC power was OK and I checked and confirmed the 3 amp fuse on the circuit board was OK. I put a multi-meter on one the neutral leads on the board, the other on the L1 BKWR lead and closed the interlock switch – the meter indicated the power OK. I disconnected all thermostat wires from the block on the board, turned the power on, closed the interlock switch and jumped the TEST/WIN to the Com24V with no results. The board did not go through the test. No blinking LED, no sounds, no nothing. Any ideas on what to try next? – Thanks.

Check for 24 volts ac at the transformer secondary and check for 120 volts ac at the primary.

Thanks for the direction. Can I assume that if I do not get a reading from the transformer that it needs replacement?

yes, be sure you have 120 volts to the transformer, and if you dont have 24 coming out then its shot and will need replaced. you can get a universal transformer for pretty cheap.
