Question Amana Furnace Does NOT Come On

I have a 5 year old barely used AMana Furnace. It got a little cold after a storm and when i went to turn on the thermostat to put the heat on, there was NOTHING. I moved the thermostat up and down to see if it would turn on. NOTHING . The storm did knock out the power and when I went to check the breaker box, I noticed that the breaker for the furnace and the jacuzzi were tripped to the off position. I swithced them both back but still the furnace nor the jacuzzi comes on. We went into the attic and did notice that the LED light comes on the the door switch on the blower side of the furncae is pressed. It blinked 3 times which, from the troubleshooting AMANA guide, that means the the induced blower is stuck, whatever that means, but no blower nor anything else even comes on. We tried to locate a reset buttob to no avail. So we are just lost. When we turn the thermostat to AC auto and check the attic, you can hear the unit next to the furnace turn on, but when we switch the thermostat to HEAT AUTO, the furnace does not come on. We are puzzled as to how the LED diagnostic light flashes if there is no power, no blower, no nothing. Please help. We have hardly used the central heat in the last 5 years.

The inducer blower must come on in heat mode before anything else will work. It's a small blower inside the service area which expells flue gasses.

If you're not familiar with furnace work you should probably get a pro in to check the inducer and also do a good cleaning and safety inspection.

Question Amana Furnace does not come on (follow-up)

Please read initial post. I needed to add that the furnace along with other electronics(a television set and my computer speakers) were blown out after a bad storm. We replaced a fuse in the speakers and that fixed that. We may try sending the TV to a shop. We just do not know where to start for the furnace or know what could have blown out. Is there a reset or maual button to press to reset the furnace. Is there a fuse that could have been blown?? The model number is GUIC090CA50.

Please help

Hewnew, when you say storm, I'm betting on lightening, and a nearby strike. The line surge probably fried the circuit board. Don't be surprised if you find more problems around the house.
