Blower not running(Day & Night)

Hi everyone,

I am working on an old Day & Night gas furnace(over 30 yrs.old.)I turned on the t-stat in the "auto" position and the burners fired up,but the blower didn't come on.I can see the fan limit turning so I'm assuming everything's ok there.I didn't try to turn the t-stat to the "on" position to see if the fan would run(just got back from vacation and I'm a little "brain dead" today.)I also changed the transformer because it looked pretty worn.Any suggestions would be appreciated!!!Thanks.

No fan

Once the fan/limit reaches the "fan on" setting, check for 120 volts out of the fan side of the fan/limit. If you have 120 there, check at the fan motor. Voltage there=bad motor or if motor has a capacitor, give the fan a spin. If the motor takes off & runs for a while, good chance you have a bad cap.
