Furnace Filter Placement

I am a new home owner and bought a new replacement filter for my gas furnace today ( 3M High Eff). The filter is located between the main furnace body and some duct work, the arrow indicates air flow but the package says the arrow goes towards the blower? Which way does the arrow go on my furnnace, towards the duct work or towards the furnace? I am not sure if the blower is in the main furnace body or the duct work, thanks.

Arrow usually faces UP into the furnace. Arrow will go in the direction of the air flow.

Most likely the arrow pointing to the furnace is correct. (The arrow points with the airflow direction). I hate to say up or down because I have a horizontal furnace.

When you took the old one out, one side will be dirty - that would tell you for sure which way the airflow is.
