Pilot wont stay lit

Smile Pilot wont stay lit

I know it may be the thermocoupler, but is there a temp. fix like cleaning it until the morning when I can get parts?

Thermocouple

You likely have it fixed already but in case you don't, make sure the pilot is strong & wrapping around the thermocouple. If not, remove & clean the pilot burner.

Thanks for your reply. We had a storm start early this morning, and i took the thermocoupler apart, sanded it with fine paper, and re-installed it. I replaced it this morning about 10 A.M. Thanks again for your reply.

Hi,my pilot lits up but goes out after i release the pilot button.What will i do to make it stay?

If the pilot is enveloping the last 1/3 of the thermocouple, replace the thermocouple. If the pilot is weak, you will probably have to clean the pilot burner.
