Pressure Switch Cleaning / Repair

My Heil natural gas fired furnace was working fine, then quit. The trouble light indicates the low pressure switch is stuck in the closed position.

Is this something I can fix via a reset procedure or cleaning as a home owner and NOT a technician? I have tried the system shut down and reset.

You could try to remove the hose from the switch in blow into it make sure the other end is not plugged with something. Make sure the port on the switch isn't plugged.

Then put the hose back on the switch, and pull the other end off.. Blow soft and suck on it enough to hear the switch move one way another. Put hose back and give it a try.

Pressure Switch

I don't suggest blowing or sucking on the hose going to the pressure switch. These switches are very sensitive & easy to damage.

Well the blow and suck technique seems to have worked, but the switch stuck closed again after sitting overnight. I have to assume the switch is damaged. Or is there a cleaning or repair technique?

no, there is no way to make repair on it.. You'll have to get a new one.
