Question Draft inducer wont shut off

Hi guys,

My friend said he got help on this website for his furnace issue so I was hoping that I may have the same luck.

Basically my Draft inducer will come on, the furnace will light, blower will start and the inducer will shut off, then 20 seconds later restart and continue to do this. Everything else is normal other than. Furnace will run and do its thing, but the inducer wont shut off like normal. Before I call someone and they take me for a ride :P Is there anything that I can check on my own to tell if I actually have to replace the whole piece or not ?

looking forward to any ideas

Brad

Furnace information would possibly help us. The inducer should not recycle until the call for heat is over so there is issue number one. I would suspect the flame sensor depending on what kind it is. The reason the inducer doesn't shut off is because the control senses a fault. When that happens the inducer is kept on all the time as a precaution. Maybe the control board flashes a code on the LED that you could observe.
