York p2mp lockout - won't stay lit

I was having this problem last week, and it was suggested that I reset the breaker, which I did. After that, the furnace was working great, until the thermostat was lowered to 68
and we can't get it to work again.

This is what's happening.

The fan starts, the glow plug gets bright, and then the gas
comes on. The flame starts and runs for 3 - 4 seconds and shuts off. It runs through this cycle a couple of times, and then the light flashes once for lockout. What could be the problem, and even more so, the solution?

Thanks!

Hi bn:

It sounds like the flame is not being sensed. Look around for a flame sensing rod. Clean it vigorously with steel wool, scotchbrite pad, etc. but do not sandpaper it. Let us know what you find. Thanks.
