No Flow from SUNTEC Oil Pump

Having trouble getting my Beckett furnace to light. Problem seems to be the

SUNTEC A2VA-7116

oil pump.

I get oil, without bubbles, from the bleed valve of the pump but do not get oil from the output port of the pump.

Have a single line system. The oil tank is indoors about 30' feet from the furnace. Just added 200 gallons of oil to the tank. Both the furnace and the oil tank are sit on the same flat concrete floor of the basement.

Furnace has not run for a few months.

Could this be a problem of the SUNTEC pump losing its 'prime'?

No fuel

If you bled the air with the pump running to the point where you got no bubbles, plus at least another cup, and get no fuel out of the discharge side of the pump, it sounds like you have a bad pump. The pump does not have an electric solenoid valve on it, does it? If so remove the solenoid valve & try it. Sometimes the solenoids will go bad. Fuel units come preset at 100 psi. Check your furnace to be sure that is the correct operating pressure for your application. If the furnace calls for a higher pressure, you will have to make the adjustment.
