Unhappy Oil tank leak?

It looks like my oil tank is starting to leak. I've noticed a few spots of what looks like oil ( pinkish color ) at the bottom of the tank. I'm pretty sure it's going to need to be replaced

Is there a way to patch the tank now and wait until the tank empties, or is close to it and get to the end of the cold season, before I go through with replacing it?

Thanks,

leak

we have used a product called jb weld .it is in two parts
one black one white.just mix together for several min .
if the area where the leak is looks rusty dont clean it off.it might get worse.if you can wipe lightley with paper towel.
jb weld can be found at auto parts store.it has worked several times for us in the past.Rember it is a short term fix.

Leaking tank

The drops could be from the packing on a bottom valve not being tight or something else simple, BUT it may be an actual leaking tank. An experienced eye could tell you pretty quickly. If the tank is starting to leak, I suggest getting it out of there proto. Don't try to patch or seal it.
