Remote Sensors

I have one thermostat on my 1st floor home and the summertime is when I get uneven temps in the house esp on the 2nd floor when running the central AC. I read about these indoor remote sensors. Are these wireless that you can attach on any wall and let the main thermostat rely on the temp reading on the remote sensor to control the on/off of the central AC. Do they work? Which manufacturer thermostat do you recommend for this? Thank you!

Two story home we put two units in! Uneven temps are a duct design/sizing problem.

Uneven Temps

Running the fan constantly will help to even out the temps. The downsides are extra electricity to run the fan & possible re-evaporation of some water off of the evaporator coil. The best solution is a small supplemental A/C for upstairs.
