automatic flue damper

Both my waterheater & furnace operate on natural gas. Because they are older models, they don't have any flue dampers. Is it cost effective to install automatic dampers if available & how would I go about finding one suitable for each?

New furnaces are induced draft; they don't have flue dampers. (Conventional waterheaters don't either)

If you want to save gas, look into draft proofing, adding insulation, low flow shower heads, and possibly a new high efficiency furnace.
