Pilot lit but furnace won't start

Hi everyone,

It took me many tries but i managed to get the pilot to light but then turn on the thermostat and nothing happens. I remember it seemed to make some noise as if it was starting but nothing happens. I turned the Fan from Auto to On and see what happens but still no blower. What could the problem be? Thank you for the inputs.

No Heat

This may sound silly but make sure the switch for the furnace is on. Many furnaces also have a switch on the blower compartment door. The door must be in place & secure before the furnace will do anything. The pilot circuit generates it's own electricity therefore just having the pilot lit doesn't mean there is power to the furnace.
