Trane vs American Std?

Need to replace upstairs furnace and 2.5 central air unit. I wanted Trane but tech suggest American Standard. Is there any difference in the two brands? What about difference in price between equal size systems?

They are the same, just tag name are not the same.

As for price, It varys by area.. I've heard Trane can be cheaper than A/S, or A/S chaper than Trane.

Only thing that changes is the outdoor A/C unit.. Trane uses the Top, A/S don't.
