blower fan wont shut off on central unit

blower fan wont shut off on central unit

I have a rudd model UGDE-07ELAES central heat and air unit and the blower fan wont shut off. I have replaced the thermastat and it didnt help. my heat unit still works with the thermastat it heats to the right temp and the heat shuts off but the blower keeps running. Can anyone plaese help me. Thanks Randy

Check the trouble code on the board, which newer furnaces have. Check thermostat and make sure the fan switch is in auto. Since you changed thermostats and the green wire (if that is the case for your unit, otherwise you will have to check to see if whatever wire thats is connected to G on the stat is connected to fan or G on the furnace) correspondes to the fan wire on the unit. Otherwise it would be a limit switch in your furnace ( around the combustion chamber could be 3 and on the blower). Limits will often default to fan on continous when they are tripped. Fan/limits will do the same. If you reset one of the limits and it trips again post limit tripping)
