Trane XE 70 Ignition is sporatic

I have a Trane XE 70 that doesn't always start on demand.
The ignition lights, but the gas burners don't always start.
My hot service ignition control module (50E47-60) has a red light on it.
The instructions on the module state that if the light remains on replace the module . If the light blinks service unit. What kind of service does that placard mean?

What does the furnace do when it fails? If it hasn't been looked at or cleaned in a while you will probably need to clean the flame sensor.
