Kerosene furnace won't light

I have an older furnace in a single wide mobile home. Just got tank filled on 1/19 and on 1/24, I came home to 30 degrees in my home. I bled line several times, it's clear. I cleaned the thermostatt because it wasn't clicking and now it does. Should I clean the contacts on the motor? The motor comes on fine and fuel is there, but won't go any further. When it WAS working, the furnace would make a loud rumbleing and actually stink up the house with fumes. Even a little smoke which made the smoke detector go off. Any advice is greatly appreciated! I'm in NY and it's very cold at night.

When was the last time the nozzle was replaced?
That rumbling you hear sounds like fuel drizzled in the firebox before the furnace fired up, and once the furnace did fire, the fuel in the bottom ignited.
You could have had a disaster! If you don't know that much about the furnace, for your own safety, get a repair man in there!
