Motor(?) noise

The easiest way to determine if the noise is coming from the motor is to diconnect the fuel pump from the burner body & start the burner. If the noise persists, the motor bearings are probably going bad. It may also be helpful to remove the air inlet cover just to make sure the fan is not rubbing against the cover or burner body.
