Old Lennox Furnace - Blower won't turn on automatically

We have a Lennox GH6 120C Furnace. The blower will not turn on automatically. When we use the manual switch on the outside of the furnace (I suppose installed to just blow cool air in the summer without the A/C) then the heat works. ??? Any suggestions?

The likely problem is that the fan switch isn't turning on the fan. The fan switch is usually calibrated with the temperature at which the fan should turn on or off. There is another switch which turns the burner off if the furnace overheats, you need to identify the fan switch between the two.

Check the temperature set on the fan switch to be sure it's set at a reasonable level, and use a voltmeter to determine whether the switch is turning on. If it isn't, you need to replace the fan switch.
