Help what gas furnace to go with York 98% affinity modulating or amana 96% vary?

Well i only have a few days before rebates are gone here in PA, near philly. i need to know amana or york?

I am replacing my heat and ac, so far the top guys and quotes are this.

$5300 installed york affinity 98% gas furnace modulating, also a 2 ton 14.5 seer lattitude condensor with 2.5 ton cased coil. 13.95 eer rating, and a high 16 seer due to the higher 2.5 ton coil brings efficency up higher.

$5400 installed amana 96% gas furnace variable speed, a 2 ton ac 16 seer condensor with 2 ton coil. eer is in the 12's i believe. Amana guy keeps saying lifetime stainless steel heat exchanger and on an on.

I just dont know what to do, becuase they are both different. i plan to stay in my house 5 to 6 years and no more.

thanks!!!

I'd go with York. You'll get the best comfort with the modulating furnace.

The most important thing is the installing contractor, not the equipment.

Did they come out to take a look at the scope of work and do a load calc?

Most problems are a direct result of a poor installation.

Having said that, you'll get the most bang for your buck with Amana

We put a York in a year and a half ago. The installing dealer also sold Carrier, Lennox, and Goodman. I liked York the best and haven't been disappointed.
