beckett oil furnace on then off once more

Hello everyone, I am at a loss. I have a Beckett afg oil burner for my furnace. A few days ago I saw that it wouldn't start. I then went about changing the oil filter (lots of black sludge) cleaned out the pump screen and put it all back and it worked fine. A few days later no start once more so I changed the nozzle and even cleaned the low water cut off. Turned it back on had white smoke for a sec then worked fine. Today no start I have it off at the moment and have not touched it. I think when I changed the nozzle I may have gotten the air shutter wrong. But I have yet to find any thing telling me what my settings would be....I made sure the buy the same nozzle that worked for the last year and it seems to work for a day then all you get is the blower turning on.....any ideas???

Air Shutter

If you can provide the make & model of the furnace I can probably find the factory settings.

sorry so long

I have a weil Mclain series 2
only other thing I could make out on the plate was this
(boil size b-a-362)
I don't know whether I am not bleeding enough or have my shutter settings wrong.....most of the time I can get it to start up by bleeding the line a bit but it only last a day or so. Currently it is not running I have yet to try anything for it.

Weil-McLain

I searched the Beckett OEM Spec Guide & could not find any Weil-Mclain 362. I suggest you call a local professional who has the instruments needed to set your burner up properly.
