Old Lennox pilot won't stay lit burners won't kick on

old lennox GH model furnace pilot light only stays lit while pushing the button, I replaced theromcouple. Old thermocouple has more of a hex type end than new but furnace still doesn't work. Cleaned igniters with steel wool. Fan goes on on manual "on" HELP! Is it the valve? General Control B50 series. 102621LA is the part # on the valve etc.

Reset buttons on outside carrier fan thingamabob. Nada.
Replaced the sensor ? a few years ago.
Can't afford a new furnace.
Can they check the valve and the thing that plugs into it, solenoid? to see if it is working at an HVAC place?

Usually the problem is a dirty pilot orifice that gives a poor quality pilot flame.

What does the pilot flame look like? Is it a lazy flame easily blown around, or a sharp flame like a small blowtorch?

It should look like the blowtorch. You probably need to disassemble and clean the pilot burner and pilot orifice.

Only about 10% of the time is the problem bad thermocouple.
