arcoaire no light
i have an arcoaire model gua100a016ain. the glow coil lights up but the gas valve doesnt open. i checked the pressure valve and there is 24 volts both sides there is 24 volts to the white rogers 50e47-140 control box. i cannot get power to the gas valve. no power at mv terminals on the control box or at the gas valve. i think it may be the control box. does this sound right.

Yes, if the since the hot surface ignitor lights up, the next step should be for the gas valve voltage to turn on. Since you aren't getting that, I'd be suspicious of the ignition control box being bad.
But double check that you don't have a wire loose or a poor electrical connection.
Also, those furnaces are prone to having burners getting corroded and causing the heat exchanger to soot up. The burners should be taken out, cleaned and checked every year or two or you can have a mess.
That's not a difficult task except that there are several baffles that have to be removed, and getting them back together in the right way is important.
