Unhappy york 80 one flash

I've has an intermittent problem with a york diamond 80 model p2mpd12n06401f. I get one flash and the furnace will start the fan, light the glow plug, but not send gas to the unit and it eventually shuts down. Pull the lower cover and reset. tap the gas valve (white- rogers) and get it going again. It can work fine for a few days then show the one flash code again. what next?

Usually the various diagnostic codes are described someplace on the furnace, often on the inside of the fan compartment cover. See if you can locate those codes and post what is listed for one flash.

The York codes I checked don't have a code for one flash, but I didn't find one for your specific furnace.

Use a volt-ohm meter and test the ohms of the 2 glow plug wires after you unplug the jack.

Does the gas valve make a click within about 30 seconds after the glow plug tries to start glowing?
