Trane XL90 fan problem

I have a Trane XL90 (Model TUC1208960A0) with a White-Rodgers 50E47-60 ignition control. When first called for heat, the inducer fan runs for 17 seconds, then the gas valve opens and ignites. However the furnace fan (on auto) does not come on at any time. After two minutes the flame goes out but the inducer fan still runs continuously.

If I run with the fan on continuously, then when first called for heat, the inducer fan runs for 17 seconds, then the gas valve opens and ignites and the burner stays on until the thermostat temperature is reached.

So the problem is what is causing the failure of the furnace fan to come on when in the auto mode? Thanks.

The burners are shutting off because the fan isn't on and the furnace overheats.

The circuit board has a timer to turn the fan on after the burners are lit. If that timer burns out or fails, it wont turn the fan on.

Replace the circuit board.
