Propane Carrier Heater flashing error code
I have a 1 year old Carrier Propane Heater. When I set the thermostat to heat, an error code, 31 flashes up. The definition of that error code is -pressure switch did not close or reopened. What does that mean? And is this something I need the electrician to check out or can I fix it myself? Any help is greatly appreciated!

The furnace has an inducer motor which circulates air through the heat exchangers to burns the gas and out the vent pipe outdoors.
That errors codes is telling you that this system isn't working properly. The tendency among DIYers and too many repairmen is to replace the pressure switch, which is only the problem 5% of the time and thus is usually a waste of time.
A lot of things can cause that kind of problem, and it's really not a likely problem for a DIYer to correctly identify.

If nothing happens, as you say, maybe you have a 3-wire pressure switch? 'Nothing' will happen if a 3-wire pressure switch failed to close backdown after the last run cycle.
No longer under warranty? I would not be a happy camper with ANY malfunction with only a 1-year new furnace. I'd have to get the satisfaction in calling the installer and/or company on that one.
