new 2 stage furnace install questions
We will soon have a new 80% 2 stage , var. speed furnace installed.
Since this is the new lennox SL280V, I cannot get my hands on the manual yet.
My general Q is: what to double-check on the install? I am a big fan of asking questions, so I want to be armed with a list, but right now I am not sure what to ask about.
My specific Q is about DIP switches , which I only just know vaguely about. Is this right - you can set the DIP switches so either a proper 2 stage t-stat controls the burner, or the furnace can control the burner ( if you don't have a 2 stage t-stat)?
The system comes with a new TH8321U1006 t-stat, which I believe controls 2 stage furnaces. I am also having a new a/c system put in. So if I want to double-check the DIP switch settings, what should they be?

If that is truely a 2 stage stat, you want the dip switches set to allow the stat to control staging. What those settings are I have no idea.
Honeywell's site seems to be down so I can't check the stat.

FIY, this stat will not control the blower speed for humidity in cool mode.. It may "over cool" your home up to 3˚ below set point to control the humidity.
I am also having a new a/c system put in. So if I want to double-check the DIP switch settings, what should they be?
-How many ton is the A/C is.
-How many cfm per ton. 400 cfm is the goal per ton.
-Heating blower speed. Temp rise should be checked, and blower set to have the temp rise in mid range of the specs the furnace calls for.
- single or two stage stat.
