gas furnace

i have an rheem criterion II gas force air upflow furnace,this occurs every year for the 3 to 4 years,the furnace will start,burners ignite shut down and re ignite several times and then goes to an 1 hour lookout.have replace high limit,pressure switch,filters etc.. same problem dont believe in changing parts are an soultion.what use can i do?

Please post the model number from the rating plate in the burner compartment of the furnace.

You need to carefully observe the sequence of events that begin when the thermostat calls for heat and to post these events in detail.

The description you gave in the initial post is not detailed enough to understand what is happening.

turn gas heater on, there is a large flame that shoots out.

Each time I turn Gas furnace on, there is a large flame that shoots out. This happens every time the furnace starts up. the flame shooting out is normal or not. the Gas furance is not used for more than 6 years.

No, that is not normal. How far does it shoot out, and how does it affect the operation of the furnace? And yes, follow SP's wishes.
