A couple of day ago the furnace fan started cycling on and off avery ten seconds or so. . . usually just before the furnace comes on or after it goes off. I've checked the fan motor and the humidifier and everything seems fine. I thought that it may be running to humidify the house, but the cycles are way to short. . . Could it be a faulty thermostat (Hunter - 12 years old)?? Bad Fan?? Or just my imagination? Thanks!

Place fan to on position

Grab a stool,sit in front of your tstat,place fan to on.Allow fan to run for 2 or 3 minutes,do this several times.If your fan runs with no problem give us a call back.PDF

My dad has a small hot water heater (30 gals.)which he turns off and on every day. He lets it heat for 45 minutes and turns it off. Is this more efficient than leaving it on or not? Thanks

What can I do to insulate the pipes on my hot water heater/boiler? The current insulation is falling apart and crumbling. I need to reduce the excess heat escaping into the basement. I have seen what looks like foam tubes, which I am told is insulation for pipes. Will these work?
