Draft Motor Runs Continuously..... Condensation Keeps Filling Tube
Hi, new to the forum.
I looked at the FAQ but did not see an answer to my problem.
Heil furnace, replaced control board when blower didn't work. Fixed that problem. Now draft motor runs continuously and condensation keeps filling up the tube.
Clear the tube of water, plug tube back in....bam, everything works.
BUT - draft motor runs constantly while furnace runs and in a short period of time (couple of hours) the tube fills with water again.
Thanks for the help.

The furnace should drain the condensate out of the furnace. You need to investigate what is plugged up and clear the obstruction.
It's a plumbing problem.
You have done well in diagnosing the problem. I'm sure you can find the obstruction with a little more work.

Thank you for your reply. Would the obstruction be on the furnace side of the draft motor? The tube runs into a pressure switch, could that be faulty?
Also, is this the cause of the draft motor running throughout the entire heat cycle? Is it supposed to?
Thanks again for all your help.

Start by checking the drain lines for any obstructions.
I'd probably remove the inducer assembly and see what's in the heat exchangers and if water poured in there drains out.
You'll have to be creative and intuitive to find the problem.
Hope it's not the primary or secondary heat exchanger that's plugged....

The draft motor turns on a few seconds before ignition and continues to run as long as there is flame. Some will run a few seconds after flame out to clear the combustion chamber.
