Yesturday my heat stopped working. I noticed that I did not hear the fan blowing. So I turned the heat off and changed the filter(still no heat just a burning smell). Then I turned curcuit breaker off then back on again it worked fine for the rest of the night. But this morning it was not working again, So I turned curcuit breaker off then back on again it is working again. Is this a sign that the furnace is about to go?

What kind of unit,,,gas,,,oil,,,electric???????????

Place your fan to the on position and let it run.Do not run heat for awhile. If the breaker trips without heat on than more than likely your blower motor is causing the problem.PDF

Type would be nice, gas ,electric, heat pump, oil. You are going out on a lockout somewhere in the system. When you cut power to it via circuit breaker you are resetting the board.
