Running soft copper propane lines

I need to run a new propane line both too and inside my house to accommodate a garage expansion. Currently I have ½” soft copper line from the tank too my shutoff valve against my house and black iron from there into my furnace. Looking over where the new line should be ran it would be a true pita to run the black iron thru the house but seductively simple to run soft copper line. This is the first house out of several that I have owned that has propane so I am simply not sure if soft copper is an acceptable solution to running lines inside the home. I am not too concerned with possible code violations as I am in a very “agreeable” area of the country but I am concerned if there is any safety risk. The line will be ran in a soffit and not really exposes to any type of abuse. Can I get some recommendations from anyone? All help would be appreciated.

Thanks, got it done this afternoon. Took about two hours. Black iron would have taken two days. Earl.
