Model and serial number

If your unit has a standing pilot, write down model and serial,or remove thermocouple.Take it to a supply house, get exact replacement.Reinstall the same way you removed the old one.PDF

Any flame at all?

Do you get any flame at all when you try and light the pilot? Is the valve set to pilot and it pushs down in the slot?If no flame at all R-12 Guy has a good point. The pilot orifice can be plugged. You will need to CAREFULLY remove the pilot assembly(probably 7/16 wrench).Disassemble pilot, you will need a very thin piece of wire,a broach or a "CATS WHISKER".What the heck is a cats whisker?Anyways you need to clean the VERY tiny hole inside the orifice.Give us a call back let us know how you are doing.PDF
