It's winter and I have no heat!!!
I have a 1982 (I think) Duomatic Olsen fuel oil furnace. I didn't realize it was an oil furnace until it stopped working. I just had 200 gallons of fuel dropped, but now my furnace wont turn on.
I have no idea what I am doing here. I need help.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

I founf the bleeder screw. However, there are 2 buttons. One says push to reset, but it's not "out" so I can't push it in. The other, I believe, is the ignitor button. Can I push that button when trying to bleed the pump? The furnace kicks on when I push the "ignitor" button, for about 30 seconds and then shuts off. Any suggestions?

I think your locked out and you have to hold the reset button down for 10 seconds or so. Is there one oil line or two. Is two it should purge itself just hold down the reset to get out of lock out.
post back if it dont work.

I can't push the button in, it is flush against the casing. The only button I can push is the one that makes the burner kick on, the one I believe to be the ignitor button, because this furnace has an electric ignitor. There is only one fuel line running from the tank.

Does the pump run when you push the other button and ir fires up?
I assume the pump should be running if the reset button is in and there is power to the unit and the t stat is calling for heat..
The other button test the electrode I think...
What is the burner make and model...

I got your PM.
Did you fix your issue? It got late and I am not a oil guy and was hoping someone more experienced chimed in. I think furd knows or Trooper but they did not come back on line. I dont know what that other button is for and I did not want you to flood the chamber trying to prime.

Hope you got it up & running. Sorry I couldn't stay & help but had to go out & work on a couple of heaters. Didn't get home until 2:00 AM, back up at 5:30 for another day of heater service.
