My mother has an old gas furnace from around 1953. She hardly ever uses it as she has a non-vented gas heater and a few electric heaters as well. This year however nothing happens when she turns it on - no click or anything. Is this a switch problem or is it possible the piliot is just out, or has the thing finally just died?

Thanks and Happy Holidays!!!

#2 Make sure circuit breaker or fuse to unit is good.
#3 Check air filter
#4 Check belt on blower
#5 Place tstat to fan on and see if blower runs
#6 If all else fails remove tstat cover, twist red and white wires together,to see if unit starts.
