Trane noise

I have a Trane XR95 furnace installed in the fall of 2009. When the heat cycle starts, the inducer/combustion fan is very noisy, then quieted somewhat when the blower motor comes on. When the blower motor only is running normal sound. I have checked the in/out PVC piping and they seem well secured. Haven't called dealer yet, hoping to hear some expert ideas - thanks

Usually the inducer motor assembly bolts into the chassis of the furnace and can be removed pretty easily.

I'd pull it out and examine the fan for possible broken blades or debris. Check to see if the fan turns easily. Power up the fan and you will probably get a better idea of where the noise is coming from.

If the fan assembly is bad, I'd buy the whole thing and replace it. Usually the fan is corroded on the motor shaft and it isn't worth while trying to get it off.

should have at least 5 year part warranty on your furnace!
