Red face Fan will not quit blowing, nothing else works.

I have a Carrier Weathermaker 8000 series 58WAV unit in my home. The problem is that when the thermostat is set to off, the fan blows constantly, with no heat. When the heat is turned on, same results. The board on the unit gives me an error code indicating "Limit or Flame Roll-out switch is open". Any ideas on what can be done or checked on this unit would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

There are apparently a couple of different furnace controls for the 58WAV furnace.

See if the control you have is the same one pictured on page 12:

No it doesn't look quite the same. I believe the model in the unit right now looks more like CESO110057-02

Yes, that's the other circuit board as described here:

Check to see if you have 24 VAC across R and C. If you do not, you probably have a bad fuse or transformer.



As described on the Page 8 Troubleshooting Guide, you need to check for an open limit switch or open flame rollout switch.
