Payne furnace

I have a Payne furnace with electric ignition. When I turn up the thermostat, the fan comes on for 90 seconds, and then the fan goes off and I get a buzzing sound. The electric igniter does not seem to heat up at the burners.

The LED light flashes 1 short - 2 long.

Is the igniter bad? Is this called a 'pressure switch'?

Any help would be appreciated.

When the power to the furnace is turned off and then on again, you get the 1-2 code and the fan circulates air through the house for 90 seconds.

After that, when the thermostat calls for heat a second, smaller fan should turn on in the furnace. After that comes up to speed the hot surface ignitor should get white hot.

It sounds like the thermostat may not be turning the furnace on.
